The assault caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
